It's been a busy few weeks -
The Devizes to Westminster Canoe Marathon was very enjoyable and we have had a great response from the competitors and organisers. We are already looking forward to this great race again next year, where we hope to cover it bigger and better than ever.
Hooters Golf Day was once again very attractive with some great scenery on display, the Golf wasn't bad either !!
We also covered a Triathlon event at Mallory Park which was interesting and rewarded us with some nice shots and was well recieved by the participants.
Because we were asked to cover it by a friend, we also shot the Hinckley Half Marathon, which was interesting, as we cover the London Marathon, it was good to see the same level of commitment and great spirit by all the competitors in this smaller race was the same. However, we were not at all impressed by the response, or lack of it, by certain members of the Organisers, who rather than welcome more coverage seemed quite offended that we were covering it at all. Suffice to say that we will be giving this event a miss next year, which is a shame as the Images have been well recieved.
We are getting a bit hooked on Cricket and have started to cover more matches involving Villages in and around Leicestershire, where we are based.

Regional Newspapers
Recently we have had a couple of issues with Regional Newspapers wanting to use our Images - but Not wanting to pay for the use!!
A lot of Regional Newspapers don't have any money in the budget for buying in pictures and appear to be on the brink of closing.

Hi, I don't think Regional Papers are long for this world, I had the same problem the other day - I got a great picture and approached my local paper, the guy told me that they might be interested in the shot but would not be able to pay me for it!!
I bought the paper the next day and the event I got a picture of was not even mentioned, 10 years ago it would have been on the front page and I would have got paid for the picture.
The current situation sucks and the sooner the locals call it a day the better!!
